3. Service Terms and Conditions

3.1 Service Agreement

When you bring a device for repair, you enter into a service agreement with Discomer Log. We will provide a diagnostic assessment and quote before proceeding with any billable work.

3.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise arranged
  • We accept cash, card payments, and bank transfers
  • A deposit may be required for certain services or parts ordering
  • Prices quoted are valid for 30 days

3.3 Device Collection and Storage

  • Devices must be collected within 30 days of completion notification
  • Storage fees may apply after 30 days
  • We are not responsible for devices abandoned after 90 days
  • You must provide proof of ownership and valid identification

4. Warranties and Guarantees

4.1 Service Warranty

We provide a 90-day warranty on all repair work performed, covering:

  • Labor and workmanship
  • New parts installed by our technicians
  • Software installations and configurations

4.2 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage after collection
  • Software corruption due to user actions
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Issues unrelated to our performed services
  • Damage from liquid, heat, or electrical surges

5. Data and Privacy

5.1 Data Protection

We take reasonable precautions to protect your data during service, but we cannot guarantee against data loss. We strongly recommend backing up important data before service.

5.2 Data Recovery

Data recovery services are provided on a "best effort" basis. We cannot guarantee successful recovery and are not liable for permanent data loss.

5.3 Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding personal and business data accessed during service.

6. Limitation of Liability

Discomer Log's liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for:

  • Consequential or indirect damages
  • Lost profits or business interruption
  • Data loss or corruption
  • Software licensing issues
  • Third-party software functionality

7. Customer Responsibilities

As our customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about device issues
  • Remove or secure personal and sensitive data
  • Provide necessary passwords and access credentials
  • Inform us of any previous repair attempts
  • Collect devices in a timely manner

8. Cancellation and Refunds

8.1 Service Cancellation

You may cancel services before work begins. Once work has commenced, cancellation fees may apply based on time and materials invested.

8.2 Refund Policy

  • Diagnostic fees are generally non-refundable
  • Refunds for completed work are at our discretion
  • Parts costs are non-refundable unless defective
  • Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 10 business days

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Discomer Log and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute our content without written permission.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved through:

  • Direct negotiation as the first step

  • UK courts if mediation is unsuccessful

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
